If done correctly, you can increase the rankings of a particular page or a set of pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to start Cross-Linking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first and foremost thing you can do to increase your page rankings is to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whoisuserx.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/writing-content-that-converts\/\">adding content to your site<\/a>. Each time you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whoisuserx.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/article-vs-blog-post\/\">write an article <\/a>for your site you increase the links that you can use to cross-link within your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don&#8217;t know what to write about? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Figure out what problem your business is solving for your clients or customers. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whoisuserx.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/writing-great-content-for-seo\/\">Write multiple articles<\/a> about that one topic from different perspectives and then add cross-linking between them. There you go. You on your way to the top of the Google Search page!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cross-linking the right way:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Include links within the body of your post<\/strong> &#8211; every time you mention another post you should link to it!<\/li><li><strong>Add a related posts widget to the sidebar<\/strong> &#8211; if you&#8217;re using tags, and you should be, you can list related content by finding other articles with matching tags!<\/li><li><strong>Add the top 5 articles from the same category<\/strong> &#8211; again, if you&#8217;re using categories, and you definitely should be, you can list articles from the same category!<\/li><li><strong>Every post should have a Call-To-Action (CTA)<\/strong> &#8211; If you&#8217;re not posting articles that drive visitors to your site goals, then why post articles at all?
